Diablo VT Roadster was introduced to the public in December 1995 and has shown electrically operated carbon targa top and stored in the lid of the machine when not in use. The roadster body in place of the fixed-top VT models in several ways. Bumper also made changes. Brake cooling ducts were also revised and turned into straked design, while the rear channels show a vertical painted design seen on the SE30. Engine cover change substantially in order to vent properly when the roof panel cover. Air intakes on the top side of the Diablos is made larger than the coupe.

In 1998 the wheel has been updated to the previous 18-inch 17-inch, engine power is also increased to 530 HP by adding variable valve timing system. Top speed is also increased to 335 km / h (208 mph).
In 1999 the dashboard to update large optics with Audi, and pop-up lights were replaced by fixed light, the same as for the coupe. This resulted in good aerodynamical shape and modern optics.
