The luxury division of Japanese automaker Honda has introduced a new proposal to the segment of compact cars Silk type: the Acura ILX, a model inspired to meet the demand of young successful seeking luxury, practicality and a balanced and friendly car environment. The Acura ILX 2013 is a model that will delight of that select group of people with ambition and refinement that comes with power in our society. The Acura ILX uses the same platform as the Honda Civic but it's a totally different car, a little longer and higher.

As probably the Acura ILX, is the most expensive car in the segment, its rivals would be only those that provide more exclusivity. In short, say that the only rival who would be the Buick Verano, since the other compact sedans fall far short of the Lexus CT price, BMW 1 Series, including the Infiniti G are more expensive.
Motorization
Together with a hybrid model, the Acura ILX has two petrol engine versions, Base and Premium, both built on four-cylinder engines rather frugal. The first mounted a 2-liter 150 horsepower yielding 24mpg city and 35mpg highway. The second is motivated by a 201 HP 2.4-liter with six-speed manual gearbox, capable of traveling 22mpg city and 31 highway
